My Personal Story

I can’t remember a day without same-sex attraction.  I grew up with faith in the Bible. I believe it is the love letter from God. In it, Jesus speaks of His love for all.

When I grew up, the church didn’t seem to have answers for my attraction. As a result, I left the church and lived in the gay culture for nearly forty years. Through the study of the Bible and communing with God through prayer, He reveals our purpose and immeasurable value.  This most certainly includes the LGBT+ community. It’s a life-long study.  Seeking His will and plan for our lives will always agree with His Word, otherwise, this would be an unfair God. In fact, that’s the claim of the enemy of God and man… Satan.

We ALL want to be loved and accepted.  As Jesus demonstrates His love for us, He invites us to let go of what is not good for us. And He promises not to abandon us on our life journey. He also invites us to love one another in our walk with Him. Nonbelievers are convicted of different beliefs. This is their choice. Just as in heterosexual culture, there are many different kinds of people in LGBT+ culture. Some are seeking Jesus. As America prides itself and draws people from every nation with the promise of freedom.

Jesus gifted humanity with the freedom to choose. We can’t always choose our temptations, but we can choose our behaviors.  As we gain an education from His inspired Word, (2Timothy 3:16) as His children, the “Great Controversy” between Jesus and Satan unfolds.  All who fall in love with Jesus as a result of the price He paid for us, are asked to live their lives for Him, by honoring and glorifying Him.

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23. This is His invitation to EVERY believer. In our plight through life, the church has often remained silent, or worse condemnatory. Through unified study and prayer together, we recognize our identity in Jesus, instead of identifying by our temptations.

The affections of every human are naturally bent toward inflictions that the enemy of God has tainted humanity with. Know His Love Ministries engages in the revelations of God’s Holy Word. Jesus has called us to be Holy. 1 Peter 1:15. “But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,…”

I challenge you to be bold in Christ and His Gospel. Come together in love and the mutual hope we have in Jesus.  Contact me to schedule a seminar and engage in this needed and overdue conversation.

Thanks much,
