I was raised on the Word of God. I clearly did not always follow what I knew to be truth. I think I tuned God out and became pretty self centered and as a result lived a life that was not necessary. As a result, I have a lot of growing to do and a lot of temptations to resist.

This is what I believe today as a result of listening to Christ speaking to my heart.

Original Sin

Eve in the Garden of Eden, gazed upon the tree in the middle of it and listened to the serpent tell her; “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”  Genesis 3:5 Disregarding God’s very words to her, she thought she knew better than God and was deceived into taking the fruit and eating it. It was beautiful and she desired more knowledge.  This desire was created by the temptation of Satan.  Because of her distrust in God’s Word and His love for her, she did what she thought was best for her and suffered the miserable consequences.

This is the mother of all time. Giving birth, her now sinful nature was passed on to her sons. One son, Cain also thought he knew what was better by bringing fruits as a sacrifice to please God. God was not pleased and Cain was downcast thinking that he had known what was best.

God said to Cain; “Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.” Genesis 4:6-7

Sin Today

Throughout God’s Word, He instructs and tells us what he approves and disapproves of. After thousands of years of millions of people born of a sinful nature, we are the result of a lot of perilous sin before us. We are the result of many generations of various sinful traits.   Some are born with a propensity to drink. Some with a propensity to lie, steal, cheat, etc.

What has remained constant throughout time, has been God’s love, His Word, His Truth and the ability of each individual to know the difference between good and evil and make a choice.  Revelation, the last chapter, God tells us clearly; “I warn everyone who hears the words of prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Today the Eve’s of the world continue to think they know better than God. Some organizations proudly declare that Christ did not live with and associate with homosexuals, so He doesn’t understand that it’s okay.  I am continually stunned when pondering that concept. That has to be the epitome of disrespect for God.

Nowhere in His Word does He speak of homosexuals in a positive light. Not once does He state that if man happens to fall in love with man and be committed together forever through intimacy, He will give His Almighty blessing.

Is it possible to be born gay?  I believe it is. But I choose to believe that if I follow what God asks of me; to deny self, He will one day reward my obedience with a perfect body and life eternal.  If I choose to be deceived by Satan and let him convince me that I will be happier and better off by doing what seems natural to me yet disobedient to God, I am telling God that I know better than He does, and as a result of such self-indulgence, there will be no room for me in His kingdom.

The Remedy

In the pages of this website, I wish to convey the tools and answers for which many have asked the questions. But the solution is simple in word.  Abide in Christ continuously. Surrender to Him constantly. He will reward you. You are His. We do not belong to ourselves. He loves you dearly and died so that you might have forgiveness and eternal life with Him.

How Did We Get To Where We Are Today?

It has taken time to arrive at the complacency that most put on this subject today. Satan has been crafty and instrumental in every conceivable way he can.  Things once thought unspeakable, are now blatantly blurted out across the airwaves. Images centered on sex, not a wholesome relationship with Christ, are flashed continuously before our eyes on television and across the internet. Satan has sensationalized everything and in the process, he tries to bury the Word of God, so that no man can understand what it means.  This is a “If it feels good, do it, world.” It is a “If you’re not hurting anyone, it’s okay” way of thinking. It is the deception of the one who was cast out, who seeks revenge. Don’t be deceived. Be convicted by the Holy Spirit that God loves and wants you to be with Him for eternity. Turn your eyes upon Jesus.
