Keep The Faith !

A well intentioned pastor delivers a sermon that when received by the congregation, it falls flat and is seemingly meaningless. Turns out the blessing was intended for the pastor.

A mother joyously gives birth to a well developed child, while in the adjoining birth suite, another mother’s baby is still born and she is filled with grief.  The joyous mother’s life had been filled with sorrow and now God was blessing her with a gift of happiness. The mother whose baby was dead a birth, had lived a life full of many blessings and God wanted her to remember the importance of depending on and trusting in Him.

Haiti’s tragedy helped many to cry out to God and seek His Kingdom, while America needs to recognize how God has richly blessed and to realize the importance of sharing those blessings.

Many are baptized and receive a celebration and fanfare to welcome them to Christ, while another wayward soul is baptized and it seems unnoticed and insignificant. The difference was that the new believers needed reassurance that God’s church family is joyously receiving them to Christ, while the single soul simply needed to recognize the joy of Jesus over the return of one lost sheep.

At some time in each of our lives, the realization of the act of faith is vividly apparent to us. The exercise of faith is never more than what God knows we are capable of sustaining.  On this earth we are called to decipher between the world and deceptions that Satan continuously introduces to us, while in our communion with Christ we develop faith that he strengthens with every right choice we make.  The testing can seem unbearable at times. But He will not fail us.

It is when we realize his goodness and His truth that the Holy Spirit convicts us to acknowledge His truth and obey His Word.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witness. 1 Timothy 6:12

God’s continued strength for right choices to all.    Peace
