The Holy Spirit at Work

Posted by on April 16, 2010

To watch the work of the Holy Spirit unfold, is an incredible experience. Christ is at work, speaking to the hearts of many from around the world. The stories, the cries for help, the need for prayer and the support being offered are beyond comprehension.

For so very very long, church leaders, members and those living with same-sex attracted desires, have thirsted for God’s guidance and direction. Many have used the  church as  a comfortable waiting room for Heaven.  The  “Reaching Out” article in The Adventist Review is certainly stirring God’s people. These issues have long needed addressing, education and the understanding that God’s truth and love applies to all sinners.

I believe with all my heart that God is calling each of us to take a stand, make a difference and enhance our personal relationship with Him.  We seek a smooth ride through life, when God clearly tells us that our walk on earth is full of temptations and desires that strive to pull us from Him instead of to Him.

Only our constant abiding in Him, can guarantee our safety whether on a calm or stormy sea. Clinging to Jesus plants us firmly in Him.  In reading Psalm 18 today I was reminded of these precious promises from our dear Lord and Savior.

“He reached down from on high and took hold of me;

he drew me out of deep waters.

He rescued me from my powerful enemy,

from my foes, who were too strong for me.

They confronted me in the day of my disaster,

but the Lord was my support.

He brought me out into a spacious place;

he rescued me because he delighted in me.
