Journey For Jesus

Posted by on November 30, 2012  |  No Comments

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15    Sunday … the adventure begins. Please pray for ‘Coming Out’ Ministries.

God’s Word is unfolding. Many are grasping lies for truth. The flesh cries out. Without an intimate and informed relationship with Jesus we are vulnerable to the lies of deception.

What feels good has become the compass for many. ‘Coming Out’ Ministries will head to North California next week to share with students and leaders and congregational members that there is promised freedom from ANY sin temptation. This is not based on how we feel, but what HE promises. This is Present Truth.  It’s decision making time. We can’t afford to live in the dark or keep the gospel from those who are in dire need of the Savior to all sinners.

We will then embark on a bold journey of His truth and redemption to Kisii, Kenya. This is faith walk. We are very aware of the hate, fear, denial and confusion about homosexuality in Africa. God has given us His message of LOVE and His truth to share with all who will listen no matter what their position is.

Please pray for our safety and for the conviction of the Holy Spirit among those we share our testimony.

Thank you so much for all that my friends in Jesus have done to support this saving venture. Lives will be touched whether we are aware of it or not.

He has already overcome the enemy!

We will over come him (Satan) by the Word of our testimony. Revelation 12:11

Because He Lives

As I reflect over the past few years, I continue to see God’s mighty hand!  Walking with Him is a faith walk. It’s not just a walk where I marvel at His beauty and strength. It is a relative walk of trusting, obeying, believing and stepping out on His promises.

His inspired, honorable Word continues to tell me that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He never lets me down. There have been times that I didn’t know what route He was taking. But in Christ I know I have a firm foundation.

It is not the right plan to go before Him or to lag far behind.  He simply asks that I walk with Him, because “in Him” is where I can know that I have perfect peace.

In this walk I have been blessed to see so many understand how we cannot afford to live by feelings. I see a false gospel rapidly making its way to churches and colleges. Alliances are being put in place to substantiate feelings rather than a faith walk.

Many are abandoning Him for self.

Isaiah 26:3 says “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.”

1 John 2:17  promises this. “The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”

Walk with Christ and you will never be alone. You will always have all that He desires for you. You can always have His perfect peace.  Just claim it!

I am so blessed to work for Him.  I was a slow learner. If only I had believed so many years ago.  Trust Him today.

Who Needs Jesus?

Posted by on November 10, 2012  |  No Comments

A surprising twist in earth’s history is gaining momentum. Surprising because I suppose I never thought I would see it occur in my lifetime.  The Christian and secular beliefs are rapidly merging.

God wouldn’t want me to be alone, so I can love anyone or anything I like and I am justified. My spouse wasn’t providing me with what was due me, so adultery is justifiable.  I was mistreated and abused so homicide is justifiable. I was hungry and had no money, so they’ll understand why I took what did not belong to me. I have needs that people don’t understand, so breaking laws make perfect sense.

In living a “redeemed” life that God offers all His children, I publicly share my testimony.  I share it to give hope and light to those afflicted with darkness. Revelation 12:11 says that we conquer the evil one by the word of our testimony. The power of Jesus Christ through us disintegrates evil.

The testimony God has given me is one of the purest form of love. In recognition of my natural desires and God’s Word, it can clearly and quickly be determined that I am nothing without Christ. But in this stark revelation of good and evil, some want to twist the message to be one of condemnation instead of love.  Oh how conniving the evil one is. He will even seek to influence God’s chosen people to confuse the message of hope, love, forgiveness and redemption.

Some feel that by allowing a testimony of God’s saving grace, that it will make those who are living in sin feel unwanted or hated.  But the message of salvation is one that is designed to call people out of darkness into His marvelous light.  1 Peter 2:9.

I beg pastors, teachers, professors and lay people to wake up to the gospel of Jesus Christ and live boldly in it.  Those who chose to live according to self  rather in surrender to Jesus are going to feel condemned. But not necessarily because efforts are being made by those who love them .. to bring them into light. It will be of their own doing. Their own misinterpretation. Their own desire to turn away from the light.  Because doing what is natural feels so right according to our fallen nature.  This is the very argument that has been in place for 6000 years.

Today, pastors, churches and self proclaimed Christians are developing a “New Theology.” They are invalidating the Word of God for this time in order to accommodate ourselves to what we want rather than what Jesus requests of us.   This is not a new occurrence of such theology. It existed in Paul’s day as well.  Galatians 1:6-10 “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

The “pure” love of Jesus Christ changes lives. It brings is into accordance of doing His will instead of our own will.  It calls for the denying of self and the surrendering to Jesus. Unless such surrender takes place, there will be a sense of no need for a Savior. If we are dedicated to doing exactly what we want to do, what would we need saving from?

Heaven is not some place of “nirvana.”  Heaven is a place for those who have made a decision to choose Jesus as King of their lives. A place where will will live in continued submission and transformation as outlined in God’s precious Word to us.

Earthly trends are being put in place that accommodate society and nullify the Word of God. Even the very elect are beginning to accommodate this “New Theology.”

As the traditional hymn states;  “Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling…calling oh sinner come home.”  The supreme ruler of the universe does not force, He beckons.

I beg of you not to be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Witness the life changing power He offers all who will invite Him to be King in their life.  Invite those whose lives have been changed to share and bear witness of all that is possible through our loving and almighty Creator.

God’s grace, hope and peace be with you.
